THREE teenage boys accused of a gang rape attack on a pair of schoolgirls in a park are facing a retrial.
The boys were all 13 at the time they allegedly forced the 16-year-old victims to perform a string of sex acts on them in a violent 40-minute attack filmed on a mobile phone.
Barrister Sheilagh Davies, defending the youngest boy, sparked controversy last week, when she said one of the girls who gave evidence by video-link might have been glad of the attention because of her weight.
The barrister said: “She was 12 stone six pounds - not quite the swan she may turn into.
“She may well have been glad of the attention.”
