Black fathers must take greater responsibility for their children’s education to stop teenage boys turning to gun crime and gang culture, according to Britain’s biggest teaching union.
The National Union of Teachers said parents in Afro-Caribbean communities, particularly fathers, must become better role models to stop their children being “engulfed” by damaging influences.
The warning is contained in a report to be launched today at the union’s annual conference in Harrogate. One of the report’s authors described the poor academic performance of black boys as “nothing short of a national scandal”.

In order to carry out this”fathers as role models” one will firstly have to find them.

Most black fathers cannot be role models as they are not around after the “production”. Those that have stayed with the mother, often are in jail or in minimum wage jobs. This is not a national scandal as those experiences are the same wherever blacks live.

I don’t see why many people regard black people in general as gangsters. True, some do sink into the gang culture, but others rise above it, and this precept that black fathers up and leave after the birth or are always in a low paying job is a typical steryo type of the average black person. This article I feel is a discriminating one. All black people are not going to grow up to be gangsters. What about Nelson Mandella? Was he a gun- tooting no good gangster? I don’t think so.

and as well, nelson mandella did not kill many people and was not a terrorist. He used peace tactics while fighting for civil rights. He did not kill many people! these conspiracy theories of him being the “master criminal” are just that.
