TWO Iraqi rioters filmed being beaten by British troops will be charged with attempted murder.
The men were among four taken captive after hurling home-made grenades at a British base in al-Amarah in 2004.
A Whitehall source said Iraqi police knew who they were. He added: “The police chief assured us they will be prosecuted.”
Three soldiers from the 1st Battalion, The Light Infantry have been arrested over the beatings.
