One British soldier has been killed and four British soldiers have been seriously injured following a roadside bomb attack in Basra, southern Iraq, the Ministry of Defence says.
Iraqi police Capt Mushtaq Khazim told Associated Press that a British vehicle was destroyed by the bomb but had no further details.
