[The fact is that the money is not benefitting the Scottish economy.
The same goes for most of the money earned by "legal" immigrants, such as the Poles, who send their money home, not to mention the benefit claims made in the names of family members still residing in Poland. £20,000 to come to the UK..that sum alone would build
an entire settlement in China surely?-ed]

ILLEGAL Chinese workers in Scotland are sending millions of pounds to their homeland each year, police have revealed.

This huge cashflow - estimated at up to £40m annually across the UK - is helping rebuild entire communities, officers claim. But British authorities believe their Chinese counterparts “turn a blind eye” because of the benefits. One police source said: “The money sent back every year is incredible. Whole new towns are arising out of nothing. The workers in the takeaway shops or cockling on the beach really boost their economy back home.”
