A Devon charity has begun a Government-funded drive to help refugees in the region get access to jobs and training, it emerged today.
Refugee Support Group Devon has a newly employed member of staff dedicated to helping clients overcome barriers to employment.
The year-long position of refugee training and employment worker is full-time and is funded by the Immigration and Nationality Directorate.
With the extra manpower the charity aims to equip refugees with skills that will increase their chances of finding suitable jobs.
