It is reported that Labour have given over 700,000 migrants, of which some 300,000 come from Eastern Europe, the right to work in Britain. This takes the number of National Insurance numbers handed out to foreigners to more than two million over the last four years alone! But these official figures mask the real numbers – because for every worker that bothers (or can legally) register, there is at least one more who doesn’t. And, in addition, there are the growing numbers of dependents of those who have registered for work, who don’t appear in the official statistics either! So what is the true number of additions to our workforce over the last year we ask? The answer, of course, is that no one knows for sure – other than it must be well over one million!

And of those one million a substantial number have come to work here in Wales! They have come at a time when we are losing manufacturing jobs hand over fist, when council taxes are at an all-time high, when affordable housing for our young folk has never been scarcer and when public-services are being stretched to breaking point!

One might have imagined that the trades union movement in Wales would be standing up for their members by demanding an end to immigration as a threat to livelihoods, social cohesion and public services. But no! In fact quite the reverse! Instead of defending the interests of working folk the various Labour supporting unions, run by fat cat Marxist cabals on huge salaries, are actively encouraging migrants to come to Wales and take out union membership. Is it any wonder that membership of such unions amongst Welsh working folk is at an all time low?
