THE MAN suspected of sex attacks on a woman and two teenage girls in a secluded cycle path by Tothill Park has appeared in court.

Daniel Wiles, 26, stood before Plymouth Magistrates dressed in blue jeans and a grey and white T-shirt.

Sporting a close-cropped haircut and a pencil-thin moustache, Wiles confirmed he lived in Embankment Road, a short distance from the park in St Judes where the girls and the woman were attacked.

Wiles was arrested by police just before lunchtime yesterday at his Embankment Road address and taken to Charles Cross police station before being transferred to the court later the same day.

Prosecuting solicitor Claire Tresidder said Wiles was being charged with one count of sexually touching a woman over the age of 16 without her consent, and two counts of attempting to assault “a female aged 13 or over by penetration by part of the body”.
