A scout band could be silenced after neighbours complained about it practising nearby.

Donisthorpe Scout Band, a marching group using mainly brass instruments, has been rehearsing on a field in the village for more than 30 years.

Organisers insisted the Leicestershire band obeyed limits on when and where it played and was helping local youths.

But some residents said the music was difficult to block out and hearing the same song repeated was annoying.
