PLASTIC kerbs may sound like something found in a box of Lego – but they could be installed on real-life streets.
As part of Tameside council’s bid to save the planet, Envirokerbs could soon replace their concrete counterparts across the borough.
Parts of Ashton and Mossley have already seen tests for the environmentally-friendly new blocks.
Despite being 70 per cent lighter, they don’t chip, are resistant to oil and petrol and are made from materials destined for landfill sites.
