Sinn Fein’s Martin McGuinness launches the gay pride festival in Derry today.
Northern Ireland’s Deputy First Minister will be shown Free Derry Corner, which has been painted pink to publicise the event.
Organisers from Northern Ireland’s Rainbow Project want to highlight their battle for equality.
Coordinator David McCartney said: “There will be a focus on human rights and civil liberties. It will be sending out a strong message that we want equality and human rights to be respected.”
