A man convicted of painting Nazi graffiti and shouting anti-Jewish abuse said “danke schoen” as he was jailed.
David Young, 34, earlier told police officers: “You’re only arresting me because you can’t find any black b****** to beat up.”
The bizarre events unfolded at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court, where Young admitted a breach of the peace aggravated by religious prejudice.
The court heard that before the incident last September 28 he had been watching a TV documentary about the Palestinian conflict and had “taken umbrage” against Israel.
Police were called when he started swearing, shouting anti-Semitic slogans and painting a Nazi swastika on the front door of his home in Gainford Place, Kilmarnock.
