AN asylum seeker made legal history yesterday when he admitted an attempted rape - even though his victim has never been found.
Farhan Osman admitted the attack on an ‘unknown person’ after he was caught on CCTV cameras attacking a lone young woman in an underpass.
The 27-year-old was spotted by security guards on a live link as he beat his victim, screamed in her face and forced her to the floor.
The victim desperately shouted for help as Osman ripped off her clothes and tried to rape her.
The attack, which lasted minutes, only ended when a large man appears in the frame and interrupts Osman.
The Somalian was arrested close to the scene.
