Police are hunting a man who sexually assaulted a girl in Merseyside.

The 13-year-old was attacked on Bridge Road, Seaforth, as she walked from the train station on Saturday.

The offender, who may have followed her from the Southport-bound train, sexually assaulted the youngster on a cinder path by the side of the station.

Police have released an e-fit of a man they would like to trace in connection with the incident. He is described as being about 20-years-old and 6ft tall.

It is thought he was wearing a black anti-racist bracelet and had black gloves.
