Results just in from Village Ward in Dagenham: (23.00hrs)

Lab 1085 -44.7%
BNP 934 - 38.4%
Con 410 - 16.9%

Reported earlier….Dagenham is a safe Labour seat with a majority of 8,793 over the Conservatives, but it is not the Tory vote that commentators will be looking out for tonight. It will be the performance of the British National Party that will come under most scrutiny, to see if the party can maintain the 30% vote share it polled in Valence Ward in Dagenham back in July.

That vote, just 185 votes behind the successful Labour candidate, was a huge improvement on the BNP’s 15% vote share at this year’s European Election and six times the vote share the BNP managed at the last General Election in 2001………

Well the BNP did not just “maintain” the 30% share but exceeded it. The national Labour Party is reported to be “in shock” at just how close the BNP came to winning this ward which is a Labour stronghold. The Lib-Dems were forced by the Labour group not to stand which ensured that the “left-lib” support was not split.

Excellent BNP team

BNP candidate Lawrence Rustem, ably assisted by National Elections Officer Eddy Butler and a first class team of activists from southern Essex and North East London must be congratulated on a capital effort. The next few months will see Tony Bliar’s credibility fall even further, both as a result of domestic issues, such as poor delivery of health, transport, education and policing services as well as a failure to convince the wider vote than Britain undertook action in Iraq because of Saddam’s alleged “weapons of mass destruction”. The US have already reported that there were no WMD’s yet this is precisely the reason why Blair engaged British forces.

Tories Scuppered

Dagenham is well identified as an area of “white flight”; Inner Londoners in recent years have deliberately sought out and moved to places where they wish their young children get a place in a school where the pupils look, believe and behave as their parents expect and where there are no shootings in the playground or police raids on the drug runners in the school corridors.

This Village Ward election witnessed an intensive campaign by the Tories, aided by the timing of their Party Conference in Bournemouth, where the usual names were wheeled out to ensure a feeling of well-being and respectibility. The Tory result in Village Ward was risible.

Liar and cheat

As the Iraq crisis demonstrates, Premier Blair is a liar and a cheat and and a very sorry excuse of a “national leader”. He must be defeated at the next General Election and quite why anyone can bring themselves for Labour which is synonymous with being a shower of charlatans, nepotistic nest-featherers and downright criminals is really beyond comprehension.

Local cheating

Questions will now be asked, by reference to the Electoral Commission, of Dagenham Labour Party efforts to mobilise the vote of Dagenham’s newcomers. An immense amount of effort went to mobilise the very recent migrant vote in Dagenham’s Village Ward and the BNP team will be very busy over the next few weeks identifying illegal voters and challenging those that are found to be fraudulent.

Hanging in there…!

Hard working British taxpayers will be repeatedly reminded in the coming months that the New Labour regime is hanging on to power by covert and overt means of deception, by lies and manipulation of the voting procedures and by ways of which Robert Mugabe and other Third World dictators would be proud.
