Iraqi asylum seeker Azad Abdullah was jailed for 12 years yesterday for trying to kill a West teenager and her mother by driving into them after the girl rejected his romantic advances. Abdullah, 32, deliberately drove on the pavement in Poole, Dorset, and caused the women serious injury, in the early hours of May 13, 2004.
