A north Staffordshire doctor has been banned from working for 18 months by his professional body after police charged him with sexually assaulting a woman.
Meir GP Dr Nizarali Abdulla Merali was suspended from practice by the General Medical Council (GMC) until March 2007. The ruling – made behind closed doors – was published by the GMC’s interim orders panel.
