CHARLES KENNEDY was given a £10,500 barrel of malt whisky which is not registered with the House of Commons.
The ex-Lib Dem leader, who was forced to quit after admitting a drink problem, was presented with the “hogshead” by Glen-morangie distillery.
He pledged not to drink again when he announced his battle against alcohol.
Kennedy has not declared the barrel with the register of members’ interests at the House of Commons.
But he says no rules have been broken as the whisky will not be his property until it matures in 2010.
The massive barrel holds 250 litres of whisky -enough to fill 350 bottles.
